SEED TO CUP - A BASIC EXPLANATION ABOUT COFFEE

Course Overview

Seed to cup means from the upstream to the downstream of the industry chain. This introduction course is suitable for everyone from coffee lovers, amateurs, home barista to business owners. In this 12 hours session, you will learn in a different perspective of specialty coffee and have chance to combine with class lecture, practical of cupping & demo. 

Course Outline

(3 hours per lesson - 4 lessons in total.)

Lesson 1

  • Seed to cup idea & concept

  • Coffee variety & family

Lesson 3

  • Coffee bean roasting process

  • Coffee brewing & grinding theory

Lesson 2

  • The plant & farming sector

  • Wet mill and processing methods

  • Dry mill and green coffee grading

Lesson 4

  • Basic coffee menu & recipes

  • Exam practical & written
